Relaxed Sessions

Join us for our Relaxed Sessions, dedicated museum openings for children and young people (aged 5-25) who are neurodivergent or have additional needs, and their families.

As well as providing a sensory reduced environment within the Museum, all activities have been adapted to be neurodivergent and SEND friendly.

Our friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer a warm welcome and any support you may need. Chill-out room and indoor picnic room will also be available.

Upcoming Themes:

• Discover Gunnersbury Park's history through real and replica object handling with a member of the Learning Team. Feel the weight of the neolithic axe, grind herbs in the Roman mortarium, see shrapnel found by local children in World War II and much, much, more.
• Be an archeologist: Can you gently dig up the hidden objects in our sand tray?
• Enjoy giant games in the Rothschild Rooms
• Take part in hands on craft activities, inspired by the wildlife and nature of the park.
