Escaping Reality

Gunnersbury during Covid-19: Their Stories

Public parks were created to offer healthy recreation for all and Gunnersbury is no different. When the then-Minister for Health, Neville Chamberlain opened the park in 1926 it was as a place of wellbeing, a green lung for west London's communities.

Gunnersbury has been a lifeline for many during the Coronavirus pandemic, and in this photography exhibition local people share what this park has meant to them during these unprecedented times.
