Gunnersbury Estate (2026) CIC is committed to keeping Gunnersbury Park open for our local communities to exercise and get some fresh air, benefitting physical and mental wellbeing.
Following the latest Government announcement, there are now no official restrictions on how many times or for how long you can use the park for exercise.
However in order for everyone to safely enjoy the park we request that you:
- Maintain social distancing and keep at least 2 metres apart from other park users
- Please do not play sports with people outside your household
- Do not meet up with any more than one person from outside your household
- Continue to wash your hands regularly
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times to help respect social distancing
- Dispose of your litter safely
Car Park Update
During the initial period following relaxation of the Government guidelines, visitor numbers have increased significantly at Gunnersbury with people arriving on foot or by cycle. The majority of these visitors have been enjoying the park responsibly. In addition, work continues to complete the building of the new sports centre and the preparation of the new sports pitches. This work requires construction vehicle movements around the park and, particularly, in and out of the car park.
Due the increased use of the park, pressures to encourage compliance with new rules on acceptable behaviour in public spaces, and continued construction activity, Gunnersbury Park car park will remain closed for the time being. We will continue to monitor the numbers of visitors and the patterns of usage in the park and will reopen the car park as soon as is practically possible.
We hope our visitors will continue to walk, run and cycle to Gunnersbury to enjoy our green spaces, gardens and heritage landscape safely.
General update
The museum, cafe, playgrounds, tennis courts and public toilets will also remain closed for the time being, to help keep visitors safe during this unprecedented period.
We will continue to review the situation and update our visitors on changes accordingly.
