Following on from last year's launch we're once again inviting you to choose a project to benefit the local community. This project will be funded from the profits of the summer park events.
Last year the local community voted to plant new hedgerows to bring new habitats to the park. This year there are three projects to choose from - more details below.
In 2023 we brought award-winning artists, outdoor theatre and even the circus to the park! Tens of thousands of people came to enjoy and we’ve loved welcoming new and familiar faces to the park.
Last year we pledged a percentage of the profits from the events would be directed back to the local community. This year we're doubling the amount of money available and you, the local community, can choose how it will be spent to benefit the area.
The Community Choice projects have been championed by members from the Gunnersbury Team, and there are three projects to choose from! You can vote to bring new benches to the park, give bursaries for schools to attend our immersive education programme who would otherwise miss out or purchase outdoor gym equipment which would be free to use.
Find out more about the projects by watching the videos below, click here for the transcripts and scroll down to vote.
Project One: Providing local schools who would otherwise miss out with bursaries to attend our school sessions
Project Two: Improving access to Gunnersbury with more benches
Project Three: Bringing free outdoor gym equipment to the park
We hope our community will get involved, vote for their favourite project below and help spread the word about the Community Choice initiative.
Voting has now closed. The winning project will be announced on Wednesday 10 January.
