Come celebrate Gunnersbury Park’s 100th birthday with us!
We’re excited to kick off our centenary year with a programme of activities and exhibitions. This is the first in a series of exhibitions that explore how it’s been used and enjoyed by the people who lived, worked and played within its grounds.
From the days of the Rothschilds to the present, come and find out how a millionaire’s private estate became a public park; discover how Gunnersbury helped in the war effort in World War II; hear stories from employees, their families and the local community on how the park has been a place for sport, leisure, music, nature, and wellbeing for generations of the local community. This exhibition also features a very special ‘thinking tree’.
“The Team here at Gunnersbury Trust is committed to realising the ambition to make Gunnersbury one of the best open spaces in London. Playing a small role in helping to celebrate the achievements and stories of a 100 years of Gunnersbury is a privilege.” - David Bowler, CEO
"This is a very exciting year for Gunnersbury Park and we are delighted to be part of this celebration of an amazing place. Gunnersbury Unlocked tells some of the stories of the people who created, cared for and used this amazing local resource.” - Victoria Barlow, Head of Museum (Services)
See our 'What's On' page for details on dates and times for the exhibition.
